Description

If you're wondering if I'm ever going to upload something that's finished, well, I can't say I know myself... Someone else posting a Robotech mecha made me dig out this old peice of work and render it for posterity. This was done in C4DXL version 6, long before hypernurbs came with that wonderfull weighting tool, and so this was painstakingly put together from boolean intersections and then point editing to tidy it up. Uses some of those lovely earth textures Nasa has, but not to very great effect here.

Oh, it's worth noting tht most of it was put together using polygon modelling rather than boolean operations... that refered to the creation of the cockpit joined to the main body.

For an old scene this looks damn good, only the halo around the planet is a bit to big. Cool done! ThanX! ~{o;)
