That mech really does have very few polygons - I prefer the high polygon, high detail models but mine will never be able to be used in games. great work keep it up all it needs now is a great texture :)

well...i haven't tried to reduce the polys yet i just wanted to upload this and to see the reaction

A couple of points, the feet seem a bit too small, and for game use a lot of the detail on the guns would be done with textures. What's the poly count so far?

As the ever cruel bastard... I think you should concentrate on making a better mech before you concentrate on reducing the polygons. Low poly modelling requires a good grasp of the shape and form and where you can get away with lower defnition, and where you need a few extra polygons to make it that much better. Why don't you work to copy a few mech designs to get a better feel of the design of them, including proportion and modelling and then come back to this sort of project later?

Make the legs look a little more stable and place the feet farther apart. I would make the joints one the legs cylidrical or sperical to make it look like the legs could move.
