Description

Modeled and rendered in LightWave, zero postwork (except for the presentation layout). Thanks to the inspirational animation work by petes, I've decided to go back to work on "Dystopia" and do a little playing with some pollution. I had lots of help from chemicalbrother, wgreenlee1, Fillingim and pnevai with the hypervoxels, wind and the lighting settings. With the help of the G2 plug-in from Worley Labs, I was able to reduce rendering time from over three-hours to just under 15 minutes. This scene has 261 objects with 1,070,268 polygons and 1,396 different surfaces. Please let me know what you think. Thank you very much for taking time to view, and for all your support.

excellent image, I suggest perhaps having some activity in the air : flying cars or craft... just my opinion.

Wow. This takes my breath away moe. Excellent work all around. The city looks very busy. When I see this pic, it makes me think, how many fatalities and car wrecks are there in one day?

You definately get a vote for this one... This is only the 3rd time that I've voted in the year+ that I've been here. I really don't know what to say except that I have a new desktop image.

well mate I'm not worthy really, just bought lightwave for 700 quid.Trying to work it out, very different to Cinema. This is obviously very superior but the horizon line is distracting to me.That straight line..hope one day to acheive the level, love you're vision

Simply amazing. Ya know, ive been considering Maya, Max, RealSoft 3d and Lightwave to replace Bryce. After seeing scenes are beautiful as yours, im really leaning towards Lightwave as my choice.

OK, so I'm behind on posting to this. I have to agree with EVERYONE here that this is fantastic! As a render it is at least as beautiful as I have seen in BladeRunner or Star Wars. As a model, the detail is breathtaking. I can only hope you will be generous again and share this with us when you are through. If not, I guess I'll have to go buy it ]-) Keep us posted!
