Description

Happy New Year! We had the traditional dragon parade and firecrackers and all, and, despite the rain, a good time was had by all. I tried a more detailed approach to the color on this one, and as a result it took a bit longer. I am pretty happy with the results though. Remember, although the year of the goat comes only every 12 years, it's always the year of the Penguin. ;) Inked pencil drawing colored in Photoshop 6. Very nice! The bright, saturated colours suit CNY. The more detailed CGing looks great too :)

um, on a side note, the new year greeting is actually "Gong Xi Fa Cai" in Manadrin, or "Kung Hei Fat Choi" in Cantonese, if i'm not wrong.

Ok...left arm seems rather chunky, the head is a bit big for the rest of her and the left boob is either too big or the right one too small but otherwise the colouring is looking good and the background is terrific. Maybe it's time to take it to the next level with the colouring style though??...
