Beautiful model and colors ! will you do it in radiosity or GI (I suppose it's not the case here) to improve the lighting ? It could be a greater picture with a softer light/shadows

Fun image. I like the bold colors however I find the ground texture very distracting. The weight of the stem piece and string is very convincing good job.

It is the common items in our life that sometimes make interesting models. I agree that the way you have 'hung' the stem looks just right.

Excellent texturing on the cloth of the pin cushion and the pins.... wood seems a bit simple in comparison though... Nice dimensionality to the overall render.
