Just copy and paste in browser.
The animation is a flyaround of a purple silk cloth. You can see through it slightly. The animation is 10 seconds and at a half decent quality.

OMG,I have just seen the animation, please tell me it isnt really bryce!!!It is wonderful, most realistic cloth, maybe picture I have seen in Bryce, all is perfect, especially the clothe transparency and texture, ground reflection is amazing too!10+++
Ornlu
Oh, it is most certainly bryce. Wish I could afford something like Lightwave or Max. But Bryce it is for now anyway.

Excellent! I haven't viewed the animation yet, but I'm very impressed with this image and your other cloth renders. Well done.
ilona
Cmon how do you make a cloth like this in bryce? do you have any tutorials? please.. its faaaantastic!
Ornlu
Ilona, I described how I made it in the post. The link is above.

This is un-freaking-believeable! You did an astounding job. If you could answer a question or two for me, it would be incredibly helpful; Did you make the reflection of the rest of the building by taking a photograph and putting it as a texture on the inside of a dome? And also, how do you make those terrain hierarchies? Again, thats really awesome.
Ornlu
The steep angles were emulated by taking a sideways rendering of the edge of the terrain it was to be atatched to (in order to get JUST the edge, make it perfectly white and put a black plane directly behind it). I then used that in photoshop as a mask image to restrict where the next terrain could be, then alligned the two images. This way you can always get a perfect fit, even though there are angles.

Speechless I am. It's a pity that I couldn't see the animation (says I haven't the right codec), but this is a stunning piece of work. And, for those who're interested, follow the link Ornlu posted to the Forum thread. It's amazing. You have my vote on this.

Looks awesome, very realistic! Any plans for animating the cloth, as well? Sounds tedious...
Ornlu
Doublecrash: I used the Divx (5.0 ?) codecs, just search on google for Divx Codec. You should have it anyhow. Thanks. Shadowdragonlord: I wish heh, it was hard enough to get it to this point, animating it (realistically) may be pushing the limits of bryce a little bit. What without a working dynamics simulator etc.

Well I always thought of you as real critical about others ...but now I can see why. By this image you sure know your stuff. You can critique mine anytime

Awesome work. Congratulations on such an brilliant idea. This is truly the best ever cloth by Bryce Iv'e seen. Truly excellent! Kudos to you and a Hot 20 Vote!

I think this is really brilliant. And although I have read several of your postings on "how you did it" I still can't picture it...this could, and is in my opnion, WELL worth doing a tutorial on with diagrams of your masks. Heck, I'd even purchase one on this for a small fee. :) Beautiful work!!

It's not that I don't want to explain how I do things, it's that I suck at it. I make things up as I go along trying to figure out how to get a specific look, by the end I tend to forget parts, etc. But I WILL do a tut on this to the best of my ability, and no I wouldn't ever charge for it. =)

the fabric looks so real. very good work.
