This sketch, done with 5H, 4H, .3HB and .5B mechanical pencil came about from a conversation I had with a friend of mine...the realization of the inevitable in one sense, but in another sense, it is what we determine it to be. Cheryl "It's Hell Gettin' Old" There are days when my body aches and I don't want to get up anymore. There are days when I think I cannot bear another pain, another diagnosis, another repetitive movement written in the same old score. There are days when I wish the solace, the sympathy of friends would somehow magically turn the tide of an ever raging sea of disrepair. There are days I fervently plead that God would intervene this time, Please... this time intervene...touch me with Your healing hand, make me new, But then I know that to live or to die in any given moment is wasted space, I realize that I am more than the individual piece, I am the culmination of all that I am, from time past to future present. I am the here and now with aches and pains, joys and sorrows, Hope and despair, every day provoked to grow and live through adversity to become the complete reflection of You (My Lord)!
