Great model and textures feri :) I see what you mean about the shadows.

Damn ! This guy is doing 3D modelling using an Hasselblad or Leica Camera instead of a 3D software ??? ;-)))))Love everything in that graphic and the grainy aspect is very well chosen for that type of subject.
Alfons
Whoaa, the next masterpiece again, you model very fast Feri :) Maybe there is a bit more light reflection on the ceiling with this bright sunlight? Did you model the figure too? looks great :)

I'm sure it's been said before but Nitro... you've got to be one of the best on here, especially when it comes to lighting and texturing. i can assure you a little advice or a simple tutorial on some of your techniques would be more than appreciated! ( see how i tried to say that without sounding like i was begging?) hehe nice work once again!

Thank you all for the coments! Alfons: I made the picture from a photo that can be found in the book "The Atlas of Dream Places" and according to that, the bright/dark ratio is very close to what it looks in reality. Also, yes, I've modelled the monk as well. The head was done with Head Designer plugin, but not the body. DeZinNeNinE: there isn't much I could say about texturing and lighting. In this picture I used one directional light and a touch of "sky dome" in Vray (with Vray shadows). About texturing: I use a LOT of Blend type materials to avoid texture tiling and sometimes I "blend" two Blend mats. I also use a lot of handpainted textures and add good bump textures and play with the Blur in the bump slot. I use a lot of maps made by David Gurrea, check them out, they're EXCELLENT, thanks to him for giving them away! http://www.davegh.com/blade/davegh.htm

There's Martin Murphy whos artworks decorate Poser boxes. 3DS boxes should be decorated by Ferenc J. Haraszti. That's all I can add.

Feri...all the other viewers stole the words from me...I really don't know what to say: Your talent with 3D is outstanding, always a pleasure to my eyes. Karin :-)

ariaans
Really wonderful image!!!
nitro115
ivo-k: my fault... I meant I used skydome too, not only a single light. It's the directional light that was used with Vray shadows. Sorry about the improper grammar
Gaspo
Excellent like all your works Feri. I see you often think about our old little Europe.
