Description
My first attempt on making a photorealistic scene (radiosity, caustics etc)in Max without mental Ray.
Try to be gentle... I need comments more than ratings.

I like this image. But your mirror seems to pick up the omni(?) light that can't be seen in the foreground. Also, maybe you'd want to add an object with, or change an object to have a matte finish. Then you can truly gauge your radiosity skills. Speaking of Radiosity, I think there would be more green bleeding onto the pearl colored ball to the left. Do you only have one light in this scene?

One the scene there are 8 lights trying to simulate the main light on top. Your right about the main omni reflecting on the mirror. Its not supposed to have specularity :-) The main drawback of the image I think is that the two omnis (red and blue simulating radiosity from the two walls) dont cast enough light on the ceiling and I can't figure out why... Damn. Anyway, its my first attempt :-)

I think it's nice for a first attempt, based on a tutorial made by Frank Delise right??? I thought there should be a chrome ball in the image. But guess you made it a little more.Yeah, the omni in the mirror, how'd that happen??? =P Hope 2 c more of your images in the future.

I think the reflection is to dark... the glow of the lamp is not visible in the mirror...or is it just me?

if you're going for photorealism you should include some imperfections on the surfaces
