Description

Another iteration on the same gorge, inspired by M.C. Escher's lithograph "Town in Southern Italy", 1930. -*- Adding more and more detail around the gorge, and a new POV to bring it all "in". It's getting onerous - now 162MB and Bryce needs a 400MB partition to open the file. Probably 50% of the detail is out of view in this image. Still, most enjoyable modeling! [ed: Except the imported arch blocks I made in Carrara, it's 100% Bryce (priimitives, most multi-replicated, for example the stairs).] -*- Thanks for the views, and your comments as always!

really neat work... good perspective and depth... 1 small thought tho... some of the trees look a bit out of place... dont u think there's too much stone for some of them?

Most impressive render. Great perspective and awesome architecture:) If I may only say this one little thing; The steps on the main bridge could use a bit of a texture tweaking. Keep it up!

Look, im drooling! This is freakin fantastic!!! Masterful work down to the last brick! All that remains now, is to open up a hotel here. This place would be crowded of Renderosity people in no time, and me and my clones would be first in line! The one with the balcony looks like a nice room... Hot20 all the way! :)

Just fantastic. The complexity of the scene is a feast for the eyes and well worth the effort it must have taken to construct it. An excellent town of the imagination in every sense! My vote for the top 20 as well.
