Description

Following a render submitted a few days back this is the next in a set of test renders. The two cars have been rendered seperately and composited with Photoshop (also adding 2D elements). Needs a lot of work still but getting there slowly...since this is my first car, the process has been full of mistakes and things I know not to do on my next attempt! Any comments on the modelling of the car would be appreciated. Thanks for viewing.

pretty cool design. especially for a first attempt! although a bit more detail would be nice. lines for the boot/trunk on the front (i assume its mid engined?) and the doors. theres no way to get into the beast! keep going!

Great design. With a few more details added this can look excellent.

Nice concept car. Again, details are needed. One thing that bothers me as well, the side view mirrors. Why are they angled that way? It makes no sense to me.

Thanks for all your comments so far. Yep, detail....it's all coming but first I had to figure out how to actually model the basic car shape! Now I've got a grasp on that I will add detail and change some features of the car. The wing mirrors do look a bit odd at this angle I agree..but from the drivers (central seat) pov they are actually quite functional (and aerodynamic). I'll hopefully show this in future renders. Cheers.

looks ok now, just keep at it...my first car looked....well, not this good. I don't know what tools are available to 3dSM users, since I do LW, but if you have a bandsaw, use it early, and use it often, to make clean corners in nurbs. nice so far

Just keep at it. Every new car u will find urself saying, " oh", and, "so thats how it's done" lol keep it up!
