Description

Just having a little play using height-field alphas to create terrains... then things got out of hand and this slightly surreal garden pond emerged. All the stone and grass, and even the bottom of the pond itself are a one-piece alpha-terrain. There followed an interesting exercise in assigning materials as all the rocks and land therefore took one material, and with the water I wanted to create the illusion of two types of water plant floating on the surface purely from the material used. All Vue apart from the alpha for the terrain, no post-processing.

Thanks everyone, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. Cermit - bearing in mind there are only two applied materials here - one for the water and water "weeds", and the other for the stone-work and grass, which didn't you like? I was personally quite happy with both, especially the water. Not picking an argument - just genuinely interested to know where you feel it could have been improved.

It could be a interesting begining for beautiful scene set-up but would need some care on details. Overall composition is great!
