Lots of fun in making this. It's my first real try at modelling seriously in Bryce. All Bryce5, no meshes imported. I used mostly booleans, but also metaballs for the rear body, the buccal thingie and the underbody. Great inspiration for this one came from Rochr's Mosquito and from alvinylaya's Mecha I. Click on the links if you want to see way better tries than mine :)
Some tech details: rendered at 1024x768 with Premium FX at 64rpp (soft shadows set at 65% and DOF aimed at the main critter set at 0,07). There are five grey radials scattered about, also with soft shadows enabled. Rendertime about 12 hours. Minimal postwork for a bit of light enhancement (plus, of course, contour&sig). All materials are Bryce metal presets with different bumpmaps applied.
