You inspire me to post in the C4d gallery again, but probably I won't because I suck! This is awesome, the lighting and the POV are excellent!

no its not boring and I think it was a testrender for the new HDRI, or I am wrong??? This really looks cool, as allways the DOF and POV is excellent done, but my friend... I think you have such a great potential and hope you will use it again for one of your stunning scenes that I love so much. Dont get me wrong, I like this image here but I know you can do it 1000% better. ThanX for posting! ~{o;)

:) Do what you're good at Martin ! We are all repeating ourselves... There's more style and passion in your "HDRI balls" than in many other artworks. One day you'll surely get bored... but if you enjoy it now, please continue !

super duper realism, we'll just call you Mr. H.D.R.I.! i still say, by the time you are old [and crusty like me], we'll need more categories above "excellent", just for you - and we'll still say "thanks"!

Martin, we all get 3 images a day here. How you choose to use your 3 images is your choice. I think your sphere's look wonderful but when you get down to it, they really are just sphere's and a simple light setup and all I think FAKE was encouraging you to do was just push the limits of your creativity a bit. But, ultimately, the choice is yours. :-) -- dano

Wow, Im from the bryce gallery, and this absolutely caught my eye, the contrast b/t sharpness and blur is so damn amazing! I do not know how at this point in time, its receiving a " great " ranking, its excellent++

It's impressive your use of lights and teh way really you give toucheability to your stuff. And you are so young... lemonjim is so right about what he said. You have obviously an uncommon talent :)

I'm just one day away from buying C4D8.1...this has inspired me!

I think it's a beautiful piece just for it's colors, shapes and composition! Now I need to read up on how HDRI works--it looks like some sort of raytracing calculation that can take a reflection map and use the bright areas as light sources? (you can tell I have no clue. I love the results, though!
