Description

I was experimenting with Volumetric Atmosphere so I did this but with low volume and quality, if I made it higher it would have taken forever! I asked my family to critique it and they think it's about the war. So let me clarify: It's NOT. I was working on one but I don't really want to add any more to this conflict so I decided to scrap the idea. I'm sick of the subject... I was never the political type anyway. So please know that this is NOT about the current war. If anything, it's a strange coincidence since I was working on this a month ago (not knowing a war would actually happen) and decided to finish it 2 days ago. Characters: I posed and imported P4 Male, P4 Fem. Trees: I made with Xfrog. Sword and Flower: http://www.3dcafe.com. Rendered in Bryce 5. Minor post in Photoshop. Three images in the bottom are bloopers. Thanks for dropping by. Peace and safety to all.

fantastic render... i like the background stuff best - just like me to enjoy the side dishes more than the main dish - but the figures and volume are great too. and, you get extra points for using stone and not trying to simulate skin

Excellent work Alvin. Love the textures, composition and color. I don't like the angel's face, it is negativley distracting me from the real beauty of the piece. Again beautiful work.

The stone monuments are good, but I love the background and tree twigs the best, but the other is great also. The expression on the two lower statues faces are excellent. You created a powerful image with this!

Beautiful composition, Alvin! Great work on the back tree, its complexity balances incredibly well the simplicity of the statues and enhances the message of the sword/rose dicotomy. The light is perfect, I understood the importance of it when I saw it playing under the pedestal. And volumetric world rocks! :) It's a pain for rendertimes, but it pays off big. --- Another excellent picture.
