BIO
Because we value our privacy at home, I'm not going to say too much here about my personal life. Those that know me, already know probably too much about me. :) I am a programmer by trade and work for a company in Washington DC (even though I live in Florida). I've been programming almost as long (if not longer) than I've been doing art.
In 1988 or so, I started drawing on the C-64 which only had 64 colors (of which only 4 could be used in a certain place). There was a program called Koala Paint that I used to draw simple images with. I dreamed then of getting a 24 bit board I saw in the magazines, even though it was $2400 and I didn't even know what computer they were for. Then I got the Amiga and DCTV. Millions of colors! Yeah! Though it had troubles, it was still awesome to work with and I have found few paint programs that work as well as that one did, though Painter is pretty close. Then I finally got the elusive 24 bit computer (the IBM compatible) and I was on my way, though I still miss the old days of Deluxe Paint and DCTV.
I work in 2D and 3D with an emphasis on 2D. My work includes celebrity portraits, down home scenes, and fantasy. I also lean more toward family art so that I can show the kids, not because I have anything against the more adult works. My mediums include Poser, Bryce/Vue, Painter and Photoshop with a touch of LW (still learning on that one).
Thanks so much for viewing this page and I hope you will enjoy my work. On behalf of the whole family, have a great day...

This is so cute! Only thing I have to correct is that it's not my cat food. I made a dog food, but not this one. Still it's a very very sweet picture, lovely lit and all. Thanks for showing it to me :o)

Absolutely brilliant Shadow. I love the concept. The water in the cat food can looks so realistic, even to the point of the steam rising from the water. Excellent detail work on the cat food can and the makings of their home in the tree...I'm guessing that's where he is by the looks of things. Even the look on the cats face of "what's going on here?" is just perfect. Amazing work on the color tones and shadows. Extraordinary Shadow!

Hope you can forgive the lateness of my comment here, but I've been backed up against a wall with numerous problems - but this is not about my unimportant occurrences - this concerns yet another piece of brilliant evidence of why your work ranks so high on my list of favorite artists. Most of the work proliferating these galleries leave so much to be desired artistically - but never so when visiting and viewing each of your skillfully crafted images. This little gem is absolutely mesmerizing, and as my cat Misty will ONLY eat Friskies, I was immediately amused by your take-off on a can of their cat food. Your post-work skills are just top of the line my friend and as Cheryl pointed out, the steam rising from Morty's hot tub experience adds that special ShadowWind touch that sets your renders apart from literally thousands of others. Congratulations on yet another humorous masterpiece.

I wish I could take credit for the Friskies parody on the can, but that credit has to go to Dizz who made the can...
