I scrapped the last jet (just was not working) and I'm a good ways into this one. The one thing that did work out with the minifighter project was using Xpresso to control the landing gear - by rotating one part of one piece, all panels and gear would open up appropriately - so I'm going to be doing stuff like that on this one. The one thing I can't quite decide on is how to add details (panels, etc) to this jet - with HyperNURBS attempts at making panels get rounded out - but I'm not sure I want to 'make editable', as I'd suddenly have a whole bunch of polys to deal with all the time. Any ideas on making nice hard edges for panels and the like? Everything gets its corners cut. Or should I just use maps? Anyways when I'm done I'll have some sort of controls for the flaps, a full cockpit and access panels for the engines as well as additional armaments, nav lights and anything else I can think of :) Suggestions and general comments are welcome!
