Description


Started this one late last night. Rendered with Brazil r/s. The wall texture was created in Photoshop by combining a cement and a brick texture using a dirt map as a mask. I used various Omni lights for fill. It looked "brighter" on my computer monitor at my day job, so, I will work with the lighting more to get the mood I want.

You need some shadows or change shadow map parameters of the light.

Thanks, ivo-k. Yea, working with the Brazil renderer can be tricky. This is a lot brighter then the mood I'm shooting for. I've since come up with better lighting. I want to add more objects before uploading the next version. I'm also thinking of doing a night time version. I'm having fun with this. Working with Max I can really see that I have a lot of power at my finger tips. Hopefully I can bring that to my images.

It's very empty imo... Add some more details and change a more dramatic view. What about a door in left, also fire stairs or something would be nice. The trolly looks very nice :)

Oh yea, definitely going for more mood and shadow effects. If anyone has tips on shadow mapping parameters, I could sure use the help. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks, DreadWolf. I wish I could finish it. I had a more complete version of it, but, a recent computer crash all but destroyed the original. This image was done with 4.2. But, my recent one, "Feng Zhu-SciFi-WIP", was done with 5.1. Sadly that was lost in the crash as well. I have to get more rewritable CD's :)~
