Description

Inspired by the art of Feng Zhu, I created this 3D image based on one of his pen and ink drawings. He asks that I give him credit for the design. You can see his excellent designs at www.artbyfeng.com. I am new to 3D Studio Max and a science fiction fan. Suffice it to say, a lot of my work will be science fiction/fantasy based. I still have some texture adjustments, but, I like how Max 5 has more powerful lighting tools then before.

Another excellent piece of work (especially for what it is, which is more of a study than a full-blown stand-alone image). I really like the texturing and shadows -- when I saw the thumbnail I first thought this was done in Lightwave! Bravo!
