Description

Hydra, created as an exercise in metaballs, I used way too many (2973 in total!!) and would use less next time. Entered it into the last 3dLuvr contest (came 45th) with a slightly different levels set up Only post work was an auto levels in photoshop

Love the character, think it shows great imagination. Then again, I tend to like original character renders. My only comment is that they don't exactly look ferocious, they look almost as if they're smiling, maybe they are having fun in their destruction, I don't know. This would be a great one to animate.

OMG!!! Holy freaking metaballs!!! 2,973!!! Wow you have patience! I am still a meta-ball newbee, and I get frustrated with 20! I think this is a great character, and I tried to make a similar character with metaballs, and it failed miserably! So you have my respect!
