Description

"Through this door I shall walk. Through this door that has for so long imprisoned me. I shall step into the light of my calling. I Shall pay heed to none who wish to divert me from my path. I shall not falter and I shall not fail. My destiny consumes me as I embrace it. My world. My universe." ---------------------------------------- For this image, I would most like to thank oblivionblack for showing me how to get volumetric lighting to work right for me in lightwave, something i've never been able to do since i was unfamiliar with that little "Raytrace Shadows Enabled" option heheh Today I was at an official ceremony attended by the Premier of Victoria, the Governor of Melbourne and all kinds of other distinguished people, where 263 students out of the 48000 that took yr.12 last year, were awarded for their excellence. Out of those 263 students, 5 of them got a perfect score for ESL (English as a Second Language). 1 of those 5, was me :) I'm taking a step further into my future, stepping into the light of my destiny. I'm learning more everyday, being recognized a little more everyday, and I even have my tutorial on the frong page of renderosity! :) ---------------------------------------- On the technical note, this is my FIRST ever pure lightwave render, where I created the scene, models, AND atmosphere in lightwave :) i think it's my first anyway :p and I didn't create the guy, but still, I'm proud of it :) I hope you like it :) I'm not sure if it's surrealistic since I don't know what the proper definition of surrealism is, but as far as I know, it's an exaggeration of reality, thus the opposite of realism. So, I think it fits in here :) ------ yayyy the big render finished! i hope you like it! :)

I'm new fairly new with the volumetrics too. Excellent job on this one. The shape of the light shining around the guy looks really cool - looking forward to the big version!

This larger version came out great. I love the way the lighting looks. I still say it is something I would expect to see on the X-Files. Very nice!
