Description

My second World Builder attempt. I build this landscape myself, using skeleton lines. I am a bit confused by the lighting, the shadows seem a bit odd to me. I used the same sky as my last image (mostly due to the fact that I have not been able to create my own "ok" looking sky.) The far hill has a few sharp edges, which I tried to smooth with fractal on the skeleton lines. All in all, I am happy with this image. Please give me your input and any tips you have. Thank you, --Eryk

Nice silhouette look to this image, use some different colors and sizes for the grass it looks more realistic that way. If you want more control over the shadow then you could use the shadowview of your light. If you want the mountains to be smoother you can increase the resolution of the landscape, but i think the mountain in the back looks good. A lot of success with WB :)

Wow looks great! I love the shadow casting down over the grassy landscape. Good work!

when i first saw this, i thought, "too much empty space". when i kept looking at it though, it kind of feels right. and the hills, i think they look great, and so do the shadows. you're really starting to get the hang of it i think :)

This is amazing. Incredible tree and use of light. Excellently done.

I Like it... Maybe I am interpreting it wrong but I think it has a kind of foreboding feel. Those shadows suggest something really BIG, like the feeling I got watching "Independence Day", when the alien's ship was moving over the landscape and it's giant shadow was blotting out the sun. Awesome rendering, Eryk!

Eryk, You did a nice job. Do like Alfons says and use the shadow view to place your shadows. Check out the awesome tutorials he has created on this. I really like the feeling the scene has; almost like an early morning when the sun is low on the horizon, but high enough to lighten everything.
