Description

Trying to improve upon my black and white techniques. Had to do some touching up in Photoimpact. Please give any constructive criticism.

Were these color converted to B&W? I think you are doing a splendid job! The tones and contrst are wonderful... :~)

I love black and white photography...i think this is great but the bottom may need to be a bit lighter...so u can see the detail better...instead of it all being so dark which lessens the interest in the bottom..but I do like it

Michelle: Thanx for your compliments! These were not converted from color to b/w. They were taken on my Canon Powershot A40 (not a great camera, but it gets me by while a I learn) Kassie: I appreciate your compliment and you input. The bottom was originally lighter but I found it distracting and uninteresting, so I opted for this version. Thanx for the advise though, as it is what I am looking for :~)

Very nice...I've always found leafless trees great for photographing. I think you made the right choice on the bottom as well.

Terrific job!!! The tree looks creepy. And the limbs just keep streching out. Great job!!!

Oh nice...what if you were to angle the camera up so the light source was more in front of the lens and so that there is no underbrush, then create this b$w effect...just a thought.
