Description

"Cut off from the imagined security of the keep, Lieutenant Doering rallies what troops she can find and prepares to make one final stand in the great hall." This is the 4th in a series of 5 or 6 (Prelude, Invasion, and Siege being 1, 2, 3). Thanks to the chat room crowd for ideas and feedback and to Ondine for the magic fire help. So, hope you like the pic, and thanks for any and all comments or suggestions - they are all really appreciated.

I would love to see you do a series based on the 300 Spartans. The only thing I would add is arrows in the door behind them.

Amazing detail in the overall composition and within each aspect of the characters. I think your lighting is brilliant which also reflects on your work with shadows. I just don't think I can say enough about the integrity of the work you have put into this piece. Excellent!

I've been waiting for this since you posted the wip in the forum. Once again the outcome is staggering. I really admire the dedication you have shown here. One small niggle the lightning emitting from the wizards(?) hands needs some glow. Other than that I can't fault it. An excellent prequel to the siege.
