Nope. War doesn't have to happen. There always are alternative, but the parties involved have to be willing to pursue them. Why does war have to happen? Because that kids parents allowed some megalomaniac who practically deified himself and had no social restraints to hold absolute power in Iraq. Why does war have to happen? Because leaders come to power that care nothing for there peoples condition as long as there own opulent life style is maintained. 10 years of sanctions didnt work, do you understand? that was 10 years of poverty, decay, suffering. Let me ask you how many little boys in Iraq lost limps, family, and lives due to inadequate hospitals and health care. Would 10 more years have solved anything? I see you can tolerate long-term suffering as long as its well hid from your delicate sensibilities. But when the necessary action brings it out right smack dab in-front of your nose you buckle. Simple question put in simple terms when in the history of the world has some maniac in charge of a country just suddenly decided to stop being bad and agreed to be good? What may I ask then is the other way? To sit back and watch Buffy the vampire slayer and play Play Station while some jerk builds another palace as his people suffer? The US is no empire its simply a country that is looking out for its self; happy, free, and wealthy Iraqis dont blame evil Americans for there sorrows.
