Description

Isn't this degrading to logotypes? Mmmm, I think so. If you compare it with the previous version you can see that I rerendered with a bit less bump. But went almost over-the-top with post work in PS. Actually it was merely one layer with a well-chosen color and blend mode. *replace 'well-chosen' with 'nicely-stumbled-upon'* In the end I duplicated and blurred it to do some slight coloring around the painted on rust (including 'fresh' rust that I saw on an old stove in my garden). But, not before I got rid of the ridicilous sharp edges one gets from spline modelled stuff like this (I try understanding Amapi once a month, just for the nice chiselling, but REALLY not succeed). A lot of pixelpushing, almost literally half of the time. I am happy to find out that working with 3D output actually improves my 2D work too. The understanding of darkness and light and how it reflects from different kinds of materials and all... The best part is, one never stops learning new things!
