Description

Modeled and textured in LightWave using surface baking, rendered in Poser. slowly trying to get my brain around "surface baking" techniques for complex non-organic shapes. This is a quick test for one of those silly gun-blade type of weapons. The name is a "Far Side" gag... this here is called the Thagomizer... named after the late Thag Simmons". Thanks for taking the time to view this experiment.

Nice, give it a two handed sword grip and you could use the grip for a buttstock. This is one sassy tool ^_^

Very fascinating and interesting design, but its rather poor from a technical viewpoint. Never fit the barrel to the blade. The blade is under massive stress when used to parry, thus damaging the gun. Without the fitting clips it would be better. The blade itself does also look very broad and clumsy. Would mage the weapon unnecessary complicated to wield both as pistol and sword. An non-sharp grip pad in the lower third of the blade would also greatly enhance handling. I still like it, and considering that you always pretend to know nothing of guns, your guns are absolutly fantastic! :D

Cool! Yeah, I second mafenther on the FF reference. It really has the look of that series. Very baroque design.
