Description
Last week, I felt a feeling I hadn't felt since I took these pictures in Panama more than a decade ago. I was helping someone cut down an old Weeping Willow tree. It came down with a painful thundering crash as it crushed and broke itself with its own weight...and as the men approached it with their chainsaws, from out of a clear sunny sky came a sudden snow flurry that whipped around us and whited everything out. It lasted for about two minutes or so but obliviously, the men began hacking and disecting the old tree till it no longer resembled a tree. I just stood there. I am not superstitious...and Religion has no meaning to me but as I stood there I couldn't stop asking my self , "What was it that I just saw? What have I just witnessed?". My father asked me why I had stopped cutting. I told him I was thinking about the sudden flurry that arose after the tree had fallen. He made some joke about, "Nature must be crying". But his laugh was betrayed when I saw him glance to the sky. I knew then he also contemplated what had happened, even if only for a moment.
If the meaning of Life is a whisper that no one cares to hear...am I also not listening?

I have looked at these images, in horror, in sadness, in pain, maybe I cant find words to say what the true expression of feeling is..after reading what you wrote, I can tell you that I believe that life is often heard in a whisper, if at all....
