The first image posted in the Beginner's Gallery. I tried to improve the sky...this is the result. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I like the lighting effect on the mountains/rocks in the background, very striking. Oh yeah,....you might want to try lowering the frequency and amplitude of the clouds and maybe lighten the sky color just the smallest of bits.

Plus, I'll add to try soften the shoreline, maybe with a bit of postwork blur. Nicely done.

Thanks sackrat, I will try what you suggested. Doublecrash, I don't know the first thing about postwork. I have recently purchased Paintshop Pro and so will try to teach myself. I understand what you mean by softening the shoreline. Maybe I can figure out how to paint the blur effect you mentioned. Thank you both for looking.
