Description

::: Part 31 of a series of Warbird Panorama Photos ::: Taken at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California (at the Chino Airport). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Be sure to visit the world famous "Planes of Fame Airshow 2003" on May 17th and 18th! --- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was taken in the Planes of Fame's newer hanger addition dedicated and designed to look like the lower levels of the WW2 Aircraft Carrier CV-6 USS Enterprise. The aircraft inside this hanger are all naval aircraft (minus the meteor racer). From right to left: Grumman F3F-2 Flying Barrel (Flyable), Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat (Flyable, Dark Blue behind the F2F), North American SNJ Texan Flyable), Laird-Turner Meteor Racer (Static, but engine runs), and a variety of Grumman F6F-3/5 Hellcats (All flyable), Grumman F4F/FM Wildcats (All flyable), and a Grumman/GM TBM-3 Avenger (Static) way in the back (you can only see one of the Hellcats as it blocks the other aircraft from view). The observation walkway wall to the very far left has Carrier style displays of WW2 Naval artifacts including flight suits, tail hooks, models, original paintings, Mae West life-jackets, maps, flag charts, journals, and MUCH MUCH more. Camera is a digital Toshiba PDRM-5 (2.15 MP). Image was resized from 4563x1123. Please note that there are some mistakes in the stitching due to the fact that the camera's lens is not dead center to the rotation point on the tripod.
