Description

Since I usually post panoramas which seem to be always perfectly aligned, I thought I'd share with you all one of my many goofs. This WW1 French fighter, a Hanriot HD-1 Scout, is pretty low hanging from the roof (well, it's higher than I can reach, but still low). My first mistake was using the tripod when this close under the Scout, but I never realized that. The lens not being on the tripod's swivel point usuallys creates a 'swing around' effect that actually adds some near distortion to the panoramas. But at this close, all it does is really rotate the subject enough so that each shot is a different rotation (even when shooting a shot every 10 degrees!). Thus, when I went to combine them, I came out with this. The image blending was not enough to take away the major fisheye curving of the plane's fuselage. At any rate, I present to you all my first posted Renderosity goof panorama! Taken at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California (at the Chino Airport).

Don't worry. Besides, Frenchies never developed a good warplane in WW1 nor WW2 :)
