Description

Inspired by Ingres' painting "Madame Rivierre". My own cat used as a model, and believe me, he wasn't happy about it...lol.

Of course he wasn't happy, you've made him out to be a she! :) It's a wonderfully charming image however, and you've done a great job on the fur especially. I might only suggest, if it's possible, that the whiskers could be a little finer?

LOL...I realize I suggested getting models to work from, and that a certain friend didn't like dressing up and posing - but to put your poor kitty through this? Humor aside my friend - this painting is exquisite - in fact, let me suggest a whole series, say a set of 6 to 10 such 'dress-up' kitty pictures; you could start a whole new fad in the art world the same as the doggies playing poker and the wide-eyed children. The whiskers by the way - look just fine - and that nose is just purrrr-fect. Your work ladyjane has been, is now, and always will be among my top favorite 5 artists - you simply rock - and this gets my vote!
