Description
render of the new planet i've been building for the past few days.... (gas giant planet is part of the mojo file,, it's more interesting than a moon methinks : )
i've still some tweaking to do on the grass materials and maybe add some snowcaps.... but it's nearing completion
thanks to moebius87 (who i stole the target reticule from, I know he won't mind tho : )

This place is huge! How can you manage to render a planet this big, with all this level of detail... and still have another whole planet floating out over the horizon? The rock outcroppings really do give this landscape a very strange and alien look. How's the air here? Breatheable? Good to see you sending more happy snaps from your alien holiday.
"Stole"???
I don't think that this counts as stealing, chief. I gave it to you to use as you please. Besides, all my stuff looks so much better in your renders.

The materials are well done, I especially like the transition from the sand to the grass/stone.. I might increase the amount of domain distortion in the blend between the two(if your using it)..One small word of caution...when you have clouds that fall below the highest point of the terrain, it can cause some ugly artifacts on the water. (it's a bug), but you seem to have avoided it!! The planet looks sweet !!

Ha ha--it's about time someone tried this!
