Description
Some of you may have seen this scene from tS4.3, and this is it reworked in tS5. Although some rework has been done (retexturing, some tweaks to object positioning, and breaking up some straight lines now that the image is larger), it is the new render engine in tS5 that really makes the difference.
For those who haven't seen this before, the image is meant to fire the viewer's imagination, getting them to think out their own stories surrounding the scene. I hope you enjoy!

Tom the difference is very apparent but it is more than just TS5 I think. Very Good stuff

Dude! Showows, on the floor! Hello? The rest kicks ass, but the furnature is floating.

Hello? I think the shadows on the floor is a monitor calibration issue - the floor should be almost black, except for the edges of the stones, so you wouldn't see shadows :) Not only that, but the light source is from ground level, being a fire and all, as you'll notice from the shadow of the chair on the left hand wall (cast upwards, of course, and not downwards).

I don't have a problem at all with the lighting. I think this room is perfect!

Although it's all great, I think the best part is the map on the wall. Of it all, I think that really gets you thinking. Great image

Tom, the texturing is what really grabs me. The lighting is great, but the texturing really grabs me. I've been following your "redeployment" of this image on the TSML and you have really done a great job. I know it is not realistic, but I would really like to see a more silvery shine from the sword. Maybe a slight glow if it's magical. I'd really like to know what's in that box on the shelf 8^) --Frosty
