Description

Ahhh... Something fresh I started. Out of my regular style, which is actually silly because I love science fiction. Everything you see is pure 3ds Max. No backdrops etc.. I used a hemisphere (with normal/flip normals & a gradiant&illumination map) for the sky, a plane for the water and some nurbs for the land, the planet was modelled and I used a superspray with instanced geometry for the meteorites in space. I used a plane with a noise map and some masks for opacity to create the clouds. The planet is a sphere with a simple box+bend for the ring. I did it like this so I can animate everything. :)

I want to add some kind of structure but I am actually not sure where to go from here, if you have a suggestion please tell me! :)

AND: THANKS FOR VIEWING!!!!! :)

Calli: Thanks :) When I get the chance I'll try to upload some more of this kind of work. This was rendered at 1024*768. Want it bigger than that?
frozentissue: Up till now, only my imagination and skill has limited me in what I can do with 3dsMax. I haven't seen ANY technique that was not possible in 3dsMax.

But i seen plenty that are easier outside MAX - no offense.

Looks wonderful and good to see that all this is possible with Max .. I also love the thumbnail :-) A structure? .. maybe some sort of outpost, or observations center of sorts (big glass hemisphere, and rusted metal?) Just an idea.
