Description
This is another image of the same landscape I posted quite a while back of the same Terragen landscape called "Forest_Island". This render was done about 1/2 mile out and up. The landscape was made entirely in Terragen, HOWEVER the volumetric clouds, trees, shrubs, and reflections, were rendered in Lightwave 7.5. The plant life was created in XFrog 3.5, which was also imported into Lightwave for instancing and rendering.
Enjoy
Gary Poole
PS. A special Thanks to Eric Gold, artist extreem, for all of the problem solving on this image.

Thank you for your comment. All of the land itself! All of the background clouds. All of the lighting.

Love the misty clouds drifting across the hilltops. Is there anyway of playing with like a depth of field, or a layer to soften the green recessed area or add some atmospheric mist in there. Maybe break up the green area a little for variation. Maybe break up the water's surface a little also.

Thanxs Xabre! desertdude: Yes, but every time I introduce more volumetrics the render time explodes. The wispy clouds added two hours alone. If you could look in the archives under my name you would see the island close up and you could see the various types of plants. Search nabit Forest_Island.

Beautiful!, i have to get going on using trees in my renders; only one thing caught my eye,in the water on the right side of the render, is that an underwater cavern or ghost trees?,anyway, excellent render :)
nabit
Yes, it does have a cavern appearence, it caught me by supprise as well. However, its just the angle and fstop of the camera and only refections!
