Description

I thought I'll take a little break from fish...do a nice landscape picture with a lake and some trees... I ended up doing a mosquito :)

Wow, that's fantastic. For a moment confused it for a photograph. Great job, and the focal blurring really helps the illusion. Keep up the great work. Technical issues, the wings appear like little panes of glass, it may just be the blur?

Unusual subject (particularly as a landscape!) but exceptionally well done. The model is excellent, the sex is right, the wing venation very close, and even the subtle textures on the body are very true to life with that slightly waxy wrinkled look and the pink underside of the engorged abdomen with the blood colour showing through. As a dipterist, this has to get my vote!

Fantastic! Almost a picture! I hate mosquitoes, but your one is wonderful (especially since there is the glass screen of the monitor between us, and i cannot figure how that tiny vampire could come into my room ;)

I saw this image on the Vue Pro promo on E-ONs site. When I saw the image I thought WOW Vue Professional really does a fantastic job rendering; not knowing that this image was rendered on good old Vue 4. Great job, you could have said that you rendered this in Cinema 4D, Lightwave, 3D Max or Maya and I would have believed you.
