Description

The instant I saw the swing at RDNA, I thought of a painting by Maxfield Parrish (Reveries). I've wanted to do my version ever since, and thanks to Chris, "Firebirdz", and his poses, I was finally able to. Chris also encouraged me to try cloth painting, and although I felt intimidated by the thought, he kept urging me. I'm not completely happy with it, but I think it's a start. It's certainly not easy to get the cloth to flow along the lines of the body and look like it's hanging in folds, too....Phew. I can't say it was fun, but certainly good discipline...:O)

I totally fell in love with that romantic, floral swing from RDNA, and wow, you have really done it justice in this fine, fine piece of art. The perspective is wonderful, as if we are sitting up in that tree watching her swing. And your painting is perfect. Also love the pose and am very much looking forward to the Princess Diaries package. Thanks for the great render. CC

Not sure what else there would be to say gurl ... your painting is absolutely fantastic ... if this is an early attempt, you sure have nowhere to go but up and will surely be a master in no time. This absolutely blows me away ... you rock honey, make no mistake about it. It's breathtaking ... simply breathtaking. :-)

Linda, this is now my wallpaper of the month as well as on my favourite images list (but you that). I was going through some art books in the bookshop the other day and this style and atmosphere is characteristic of the great legendary artists. Now you inspire me everytime I look at my computer!
