What a wonderful piece! The child is adorable, his expression sweet. The brickwork on the ground makes a wonderful pattern. The child seems so tiny in comparison to his environment. I love it and I think it's an awesome tribute to Tedz... Have you tried this in B&W...bet it would look awesome!

Michelle and F&J - I thought of it too, and have indeed tried the B&W version but I didn't like it very much for two reasons: 1 - it was flat, no matter what I tried to do with it, 2 - it looked really sad then! And the boy wasn't sad, when I took that shot Linda. I think it's the crop that makes it look like he was :))) Anyway, I'll post the B&W version in the forum, so you'll see it for yourselves.

I think it's a wonderful composition--and it does need the color (I did have to think about it) as a contrast between the ocean of bricks and the island of the little boy. At least he has a bottle he can send a note out with;-)

Beautiful shot! Perhaps Linda thinks he's sad because there is so much empty space around the kid.. He seems lonely. MAYBE (but it's only my advice) U could crop the shot.. But the shot is wonderful! :))

I don't need a Bottle to send a Note with...I Mind Meld A lovely Photo...and, yep...it does depict Myself...for the Big Courtyard, is a Big Universe, and, I am forever trying to recapture My Stolen Childhood. I am overwhelmed, and flattered, with simple Words, and the warmth of Friendship, and never cease to wonder, at those, that would save a wee bit of themselves, to have thought's of Me. Poetical, and so apt.. all seems to be evident if one matches the words with the look of the child lost but playful in all that space. Excellent work, I am sorry I can't rate it because it's a fantastic one.
