Description
Spent o lot of time on this one. Used painter and photoshop to paint this image of Aragorn (LOTR). Followed along some tutorials by one of my fav artists, Roberto Campus. The Tuts can be found here. http://www.robertocampus.com

I wouldn't know Aragorn if he kicked me in the ass, but I do know good art when I see it, and I see it here. You have certainly mastered colour and form and the result is a magnificent image. If you twisted my arm to find a fault, I'd say the wet hair on his face looks a little 2D, but this is so minor it's barely worth mentioning. Awesome work.

Like 'tuttle' - I wouldn't know Aragorn from Bighorn or Capricorn - so it would be redundant if not asinine of me to say "gee - looks just like him too". However, you have once again raised the bar on your skills as an advancing artist Scott my friend - for this painting is not only well executed - it screams professionalism. What I really admire about this is the intensity of his expression - not an easy task to accomplish in a near profile portraiture. Pretty soon my friend you will be selling all your 3D software because your painting skills will have outstripped the need for them. Absolutely fantastic Scott and a big vote from me.

it's great for the likeness (impressive actually.. Viggo Mortensen would be impressed himself) but a tiny bit too bluerred maybe for being perfect :) Stll a remarkable work :)

Amazing work. My only critique would be that it isn't clear enough. Just a bit too blurry. I would've brough in more of the facial details. But really, I am no expert and it is lovely. :)
