Description

:: Oahu, Hawaii Series :: This image is taken on the Southern East part of the island and is a shot of the famous Halona 'Blow Hole'. Unfortunatly, the image does not show the gieser-like water shooting up, but the wave that hit the rocks and made this really big splash was much more awesome than when the Blow Hole was shooting out the most water! The Monument-like thing sitting on the rocks is in memory (I believe) of the guy who died not too long ago when he (against all the signs and warnings) was on top of the Blow Hole as it shot out. The Blow Hole itself is to the bottom right corner. You can see it slightly shooting out some mist from the wave that hit. Image taken with a Toshiba PDRM-5 (2.15 Megapixels) and was resized in Photoshop.
