Description

:: Oahu, Hawaii Series :: This Panorama was taken on top of the highest peak on Diamond Head Volcano. It's a long and very hard hike (STEEP! and DARK!), but well worth the exhastion to see the view. You get to walk through an old WW2 gun emplacement along the way, and you're just about higher than anything else aside from the large mountains. This panorama is looking towards Honolulu (the hotels) and Pearl Harbor (waaaaaaaaay in the distance). I recommend this hike for anyone visiting Oahu, but make sure you bring some water and a flashlight! When I say dark, I mean so dark that your eyes cannot adjust. It is literally like being blind as you go through the first long tunnel and then up the stairs to the gun emplacement. But overall, a fun, somewhat quick, hike. Image taken with a Toshiba PDRM-5 (2.15 Megapixels) and was resized in Photoshop. Panorama is made up of 3 shots.
