Description

This isn't one of my favorites - it's kind of a boring image, but I thought I'd upload it anyway. It was my entry for the "Old Technology" round of the IRTC - Jan-Feb, 2003 (it came in #20). I'm pretty happy with the tapes and satisfied with the radio and tablet, but I don't really like how the rest of the objects turned out. The pictures in the background are two of my very first attempts at raytracing. Created totally in povray; no postwork.

So you are on IRTC ? I hope to send something too there someday. I like the twisted tape in this rendering. Everyone has gone through this in his life ! Quite frustrating ! And it still happens with vhs tapes too ! Geee... Haleluia to CD's and DVD's !No more tracking error or azimuth missalignement ! If this rendering would have been mine, I guess I would have name it "Damn Souvenirs" or something like that ! ;-)

The modeling is really good but what I notice is your composition and my eyes continualy move and flow through the piece. I like that! :-)
