Description
I read in a book somewhere that the universe is just a mirror reflecting ourselves. In another book, I read about quantum mechanics. In a third book, I read that if we ever discover the true nature of the universe, it will instantly disappear in a poof of logic and be replaced with something even more mysterious and bizarre. I wonder how many times this has happened already. I also wonder if this makes us the puzzle solvers or the puzzle makers. But most of all, I wonder if the people responsible for replacing all those old universes are getting overtime pay.
This is my entry for the May-June 2003 round of the IRTC, topic "mystery." The person is from Poser converted with Poseray. The texture of the puzzle is from a public domain Hubble telescope image (thanks to STScI). Everything else was created with Povray. No postwork.

Interesting concept, wonderfully presented in puzzling out lifes quandaries And about the overtime pay, probably not, unless theyre unionized! And that brings up another question Does the universe have a label attached? If so, what happens if its removed? Nice work

Better yet...read The Holographic Universe in which our minds create the realities in multiverses and alternate realities...it's my field of study...I love this rendering with all it's subtle undertones of gates.
