Description
This is a reworked version of an image I did a couple of months ago. I redid the textures a little bit. I am in the process of building a very detailed model of the USS Constitution, from actual photos and plans of her construction and latest reconstruction. This is taking awhile since I am still learning Cinema 4D, so this is still really my first 3D image I have done.

Wow, this one remids me of my grandfather... He was a real artist in building models of cannons, building them in real I mean... Sigh! I'm not really commenting on your pieces, but, you know, sometimes remembrances jump on you all at once...

You have a nice change on the cannon from last time.

looks a tad clean for someting that old, the wood should at least have some dings and scrapes, and for sure some grime, y can't clean it all off. As this seems to be an early iteration might i point out everything is DIRTY to some degree. I've found my best work is often the grimiest....Beautiful modelling tho. And resist the urge to shine stuff up...makes it look plastic. peace bobbystahr

I don't know...for some reason it looks more like a shot of a toy then a full sized gun, something about the depth of field I think. It also looks too clean, even for a brand new cannon there should be some imperfections.

nice work...I like the sharp clarity of this model.

Nice modeling,I've never used cinema4D before,I'm a 3ds max guy.But I'd suggest changing the wood texture on the wheels. It should have end grain on the sides like it was cut from a tree, add some dirt and damage overall.

Wonderful model, looks very impressive. I use to have a little model set of these cannons along with some other items for a battle scene but at lass, they got lost in a move. Its cool to see that reconstructed for 3D work. Keep up the good work, will be looking forward to seeing future gallery posts.
