oh... Cassie :) :) :) (feel me like I am crying.. I AM. And my chief is here with me...) I was so pissed today for not going at sea for the rain, and after being back at work, for seeing this cruel sun reminding me of my idiocity... then YOU... You with THIS. wonderful...it..express a side of Melania which I love..always have since years :) there are tons of sides to her..but this one is another special one that you have put so vividly here...I love it totally. :) honestly..think I can look at it for hours...it has an incredible sweetness to it..the entire piece :)

I really feel the love here :-)
And it reminds me of intolerance's comment on Meli's addy portrait, in reference to portraiture going beyond mere likeness: for here you've gone beyond accurate likeness, that hair, that jaw structure and THAT chin make it so obviously Meli and yet the "artistic licence" reflects the beauty of her soul that a cursory glance can't really show :-)

Cassie, I don't know why you didn't think this scanned well, it is beautiful! It is probably more beautiful in person, though, and as you said, the luminoscity cannot always come through.
