catch your breath, hit the wall
scream out loud, as you start to crawl
back in your cage...the only place
where they will leave you alone
'cause the weak will seek the weaker
until they've broken them
could you get it back again
would it be the same
fulfillment to their lack of strength
at your expense
left you with no defense, they tore it down
locked inside, the only place
where you feel sheltered, where you feel safe
you lost yourself in your search to find
something else to hide behind
the fearful always preyed upon your confidence
didn't they see the consequence when they pushed you around
the arrogant build kingdoms made of the different ones
breaking them 'til they've become just another crown...

i once went to this village somewhere on this earth
there was this tribe of people
not all black and not all white
there were some asains, and even hispanics in this tribe
i walked through this village for a day
i was looking for the leader or maybe just someone in charge
i couldn't find any one person who was in charge
the next day i started the search over again
it was about noon, when this little girl came up to me and asked me what i was doing
i replied, "i'm looking for the leader"
she told me that she was the leader
she then followed with the knowledge that everybody in the village was a leader as well
i asked this little girl, "does that mean i'm a leader as well?"
and as she walked away she said, "YES"
i was so busy trying to find someone to follow that i never realized that i was my own leader
i was so blindly looking for someone to lead me that i didn't notice i was leading myself
