Description

a vortex, essentially is a whirlpool of force, is the basic form of our universe from our galaxy, whose vortex form we see as the countless suns of the Milky Way, throughout the gravitational vortex of our solar system, down to the vortex of an atom, the vortex form recurs throughout our world structure! *thankz 4 viewing*

The spiral form also appears carved into standing stones dating to the neolithic period (c. 7000 to 5000 years before present). I hope that you enjoy viewing the ancient carved spirals that appear on these web pages: http://www.stonepages.com/tour/7_13.html http://www.thewoods.fsworld.co.uk/id269.htm http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/celynog/neolithic_carving.htm http://www.knowth.com/newgrange.htm

Vortex's, the universe is based on it. The sun revolving around a black hole, our earth revolving around the sun with out moon revolving around us, water drains in a vortex, opposite ways on either side of the equator. You are so deep Tania.

The double-spiral has a very important place in the traditional art of all countries WORLDWIDE (i.e. in the ancient Greece). It can be seen as the plane projection of the two fundamental vortexes: in-volution and e-volution... that is the display of the WHOLE in its TWO fundamental aspects: Life and Death, Yin and Yang, Female and Male... The direction itself of the vortex, that can be left-handed or right-handed, suggests itself that can't be the one without the other... the both rotating around the AXIS (that FROM ABOVE looks like a DOT... the ONE from which the vortex itself originates).

Cool imagery, and interesting topic. I recently read up a bit on the vortex after reading a science article in regards to shower curtain behaviors. I heard that the cause of a shower curtain being pulled towards the water stream is because of a vortex created by the changing atmospheric pressures or something. Quite fascinating stuff. It looks like You are the one here creating the vortex of space and commentary here. -Peace :-)

fantastic - for a still image, it sure does move alot. to my eye! better than a movie, because the imagination provides the movement - without any script! i hope she doesn't vanish into the vortex! :-0)

Agree with Akinom: "Elegant" is the right term here! I like this sparkling and smoothed image very much.. A "slowmotion".. :)

Stylish interpretation of negative space. my friend: the photo-manipulation work is really awesome, maybe I don't like too much just the vortex, but maybe it's my wrong opinion. The whole image is an excellent artwork though. :-)

vortex is my symbol for trouble, it sucks you in and you think a way out...... the both ways of it's spiral. A great symbol for negative space for you need possitive energy to get out again. Thanx for sharing XXX

Great image! I particularly like the way the focal point of the vortex is the only clearly defined part of the image... everything else is blurred.
