Description


Again, turning the unused G3 to the tast of re-rendering some old scenes. This was a "beauty shot" of a model for an Escape Velocity plug-in I was working on...the not-so-subtle subtext was the OS wars and this was a ship of the "Pentium" class. A P-II, in fact, as you can tell by counting the colored bars. Modelled laboriously in RayDream and textured with a free texture. Stars and a slight engine glow postworked in.

OS wars? Linux rebels vs Dearth XP? LOL. The context behind it is funny, but the ship is very cool. I especially like how the ion glow is done on the propulsion system.
