Description

If you like butterflies and are in Ecuador, don't miss the chance to visit the butterfly farm in Mindo. Agfa 200 speed film, Nikon N60 with Sigma 70-300mm zoom lens on Macro setting. Negative scanned and cleaned and cropped with Photoshop.

Wonderful colours seems a shame to go to a farm when in Ecuador which is so rich with wild specimins but always a great place to get the practice..And perhaps above all else appreciate thier beauty..

To clarify: the "butterfly farm" is actually part of a research station studying the over 100 species of butterflies in the area. About 30 species are raised in an enclosure which makes studying, and photographing, them a lot easier. I definitely recommend enjoying the "wild" ones, too.
